International Desk: Eleven people were killed when a passenger bus went off a hilly road and plunged into a ditch in Poonch district of Indian-administered Kashmir. 29 more people were injured in this incident.

The incident took place in the Saojian area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir’s Punj district on Wednesday (September 14) morning in a bus accident.

According to the administration sources, the passenger-laden minibus lost control due to speeding and fell into the ditch several hundred meters down. The incident took place near Barari Wala Saojian village in Poonch district. 11 people have died in this accident so far.

Local residents started rescue work before the rescue team reached the spot. The rescue team came and pulled out the passengers trapped inside the bus. Those injured in the accident were rushed to the hospital. Many of the injured are in critical condition. The death toll is expected to rise.

Incidentally, such a terrible accident has happened in Kashmir before. Last August, an army bus fell into a deep ditch in Pahalgaon. 7 ITBP jawans died in that accident.
