#Mumbai: Reliance Jio’s True 5G service is starting tomorrow, October 5 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi. Existing Jio customers will also be invited by the company to take a beta trial of Jio’s True 5G service. The company claims that those who take up the beta trial offer of Jio’s 5G service will be able to enjoy data speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Jio customers who have a 5G enabled smartphone will not even need to swipe their SIM card to get 5G services. Their SIM will be upgraded for True 5G service if they receive the Jio 5G welcome offer from the company
Akash Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, said, ‘Jio aims to roll out the largest and fastest 5G service in a country as large as India. It cannot be that only a handful or residents of big cities will enjoy 5G services This service should reach every citizen, every home and business in the country.’
Not only Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi, but Jio will soon roll out its 5G beta trial service in other cities across the country. The beta trial will continue until the 5G network is rolled out across the city
