Sun News Desk: Nationwide ‘Cyber Security Awareness Campaign’ has been started by Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd.
This ‘Cyber Security Awareness Campaign’ was inaugurated at Islami Bank Tower on Sunday (October 23). The bank’s managing director and CEO Muhammad Munirul Mawla inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest.
Additional Managing Director Muhammad Qaiser Ali, Md. Omar Farooq Khan and J. Q. M. Habibullah, FCS. Bangladesh Bank Chief Information Security Officer Md. Mehdi Hasan conducted the session on cyber security.

Executive Vice President Ahmed Zobairul Haque and Senior Vice President SM Mizanur Rahman also spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Deputy Managing Director Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin.
Deputy Managing Director Md. Altaf Hussain, Md. Nayar Azam, Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Md. Jamal Uddin Mazumder and Md. Shabbir, Chief Human Resources Officer Md. Mostafizur Rahman Siddiqui, Principal of IBTR SM Rabiul Hasan were present at the time. Heads of all zones and branches of the bank were connected to the event on the virtual platform.

Muhammad Munirul Mawla said in the speech of the chief guest that awareness about cyber security is very important in today’s world. As the increasing advancement of information technology has made our life easier and more flexible, various cyber attacks have made our life more vulnerable.
To overcome this, we need to make all levels of manpower as well as customers and agents aware. We have to deal with this risk by playing a responsible and conscious role of everyone.
He said, recently we got ISO certificate on cyber security. As the largest bank in the country, this certificate has increased our responsibility. This awareness throughout the year for the protection of customers’ deposits
