Sports Desk: Popular star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has sent a legal notice to the telecom company Banglalink and Jamuna Bank for allegedly using the brand image and picture illegally.

He sent a legal notice to these two institutions seeking compensation of Tk 580 lakh 50 thousand.

Barrister Ashraful Hadi sent this notice on behalf of Shakib Al Hasan on Sunday (July 24).

According to the lawyer’s notice, the star cricketer has given 7 days time to the two organizations for compensation. Meanwhile, legal action will be taken if compensation is not paid.

Barrister Ashraful Hadi said in this regard, ‘Banglalink’s contract with Shakib ended in 2016. And he did not make any agreement with Jamuna Bank. But they are using Shakib’s picture in various places including their ATM booth. These were sent to Shakib by various persons after seeing the picture in the ATM booth. After that, Shakib decided to send a legal notice.’

Shakib’s lawyer told the amount of compensation and said, ‘Our compensation amount to two organizations is 5 crore 80 lakh 50 thousand taka. Further action will be taken if the compensation is not paid on time.’
