Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Muhammad Asaduzzaman Nur resets date . A Dhaka court ruled on October 14 to hold an impeachment hearing in two cases against BNP President Begum Khaleda Zia for wrong birthday on National Day of Mourning and the stigmatization of the liberation war through the rehabilitation of anti-liberation forces.
Thursday was scheduled for the impeachment hearing, but Dhaka’s additional metropolitan chief magistrate, Muhammad Asaduzzaman Nur, reset the date and allowed the defense to time out. Khaleda Zia’s lawyer, Masud Ahmed Talukder, pleaded guilty and said that his client could not appear in court due to her illness.
